Just beside the Cave of Saint Demetrianos in Pafos, there is an Olive tree giving shade to the area around it for centuries.
The story says that after Saint Demetrianos left his mother, he transformed into a bird so she could not follow him any more.
He arrived in Pafos just beside the cave where two people were sitting under the Olive tree.
One was blind and the other was deaf, but having some kind of weapon they managed to hit the bird. Two drops of blood fell on them and they cured instantly!
The Saint's name day is celebrated on November 6 and there is a big festivity at the area of the Church each year!
