Archimandrita was our basis for the long weekend of Easter this year.
Inevitably we asked some family members who leave there to tell us more about their beautiful village.
The first thing we learned was that there is an old settlement just a couple of minutes further down. The old settlement is now called "Kato Archimandrita".
Later on we found ourselves on a tour at "Kato Archimandrita". The tour revealed a lot of destroyed houses like the one in the picture that belonged to the teacher of the village. Now only a couple of houses are being used but only as summer houses. The rest are abandoned.
The area around the village though offers a great camping opportunity and for the moment is not widely used!
