Visiting the mountains of Pitsilia area is always a pleasure. So many things to see and do around the area. If you choose to begin by visiting the Nicosia side of Pitsilia area, then just head for Xyliatos village.
Just pass Ayia Marina village you will find Xyliatos village. Just outside Xyliatos the forest begins and on the right you will not miss the Xyliatos Dam. One of the biggest and most known in Cyprus.
You just have to stop look at the view! Especially when the water is filling up the dam and everything around is green. You feel that there is something different right away.
If you are there on a summer time don't be surprised to hear music, there is a very nice picnic area just behind the dam where people have parties with friends and relatives!
