Taking our usual route from Archimandrita towards Salamiou,we passed first from Mamonia village and then we reached Agios Georgios.
At the entrance of the village on our left there is a nice park dedicated to Panagi Polyvios. Panagi Polyvios was born in the village of Varisa in Morfou area which is now occupied.
Since August 6 1974, after the Turkish invasion, he is considered missing while serving in the reserves defending his country.
In 2011 the monument was revealed next to the park which is dedicated in his memory.
