Cyprus has the "nickaname" the "Island of Love" for hundreds of years now.

This is due to the Greek mythology which says that Aphrodite was born here.

The myth says that after Zeus killed his father Kronos for the leadership of Olympus, the blood of Kronos was spilled in the shores of Cyprus and Pafos in specific.

 From the sea of Pafos Aphrodite was born! The most beautiful goddess of all!
