Our holiday expedition this summer included a nice tour from Polemi towards Panayia village in Pafos.
One of the main attractions for us was the Asprogia-Kannaviou dam. It was our first time there and I have to admit we were very glad.
The dam is located in the mountains and is surrounded by forest on three sides. The location and the environment around the dam create a very beautiful site for someone to see.
Even better is the fact that the villages around have a very nice view of the dam which looks more like a big lake! This is very interesting especially for those who like to take a variety of nice pictures of the dam.
The name of the dam comes from the two near by villages, Kannaviou and Asprogia.
Can you tell me where the name Asprogia comes from? White saint?
