Road way to Kyparissos
On a spring trip to Salamiou village in Pafos we had to take a diversion as the main road to the village centre was under construction. Turning left to reach the village we had to pass through this unique tree, a symbol of the village for centuries, as we were later told.
The diversion road we took lead us to Kyparissos square where the village hosts its annual festivities, especially the "Palouze" festival usually held in the first Sunday of October. The "Palouze" festival in Salamiou is one of the most known celebrations of its kind in Cyprus.
