Taking the route from Xyliatos towards Saranti village is a common thing for us.
Just before the Xyliatos dam though there is a road leading to Nikitari village.
Although we haven't made that route yet, we always see the sign that the largest Olive tree in Cyprus is located near by.
So we decided it was time to pay a visit. Once we arrived at the location of the Olive tree we did not only confirmed that it is a very big one but it is also a very old one!
The Olive tree is more than 700 years old with a girth at breast 13 meters and height of 6 meters! Furthermore on the inside it can host a number of people since it is not solid.
