A view of Diarizos River
Diarizos is not only the 4th biggest river in Cyprus but one of the most important as the rain it collects amounts to 20% of the total water in Cyprus.
Furthermore it is considered the most important in terms of biodiversity as it hosts a large number of species and plants. It is part of the Natura 2000 project for conservation of nature.
On our most recent visit in Pafos we stopped to explore the river just before the Stones of Hasanpoulia at the Prastio-Kidasi route.
