The Sanatorium of Kyperounda is one of the most important elements of the whole area of Pitsilia.
It begun its operations in 1941 as a place where people with respiratory and asthma problems could be treated and healed.
This is because of the excellent climate conditions of the area that made the sanatorium famous worldwide.
Now it operates also as a hospital that treats patients with various health issues.
We stopped for a while to visit the surrounding area and the Chapel of Saint Kendeas before we moved on...
