Old Bridge, Mandria-Agios Nikolaos route, Limassol to Pafos
Old Bridge
To reach a destination, there are always many routes to take. We decided to reach Pafos going from the mountains of Pitsilia towards Mandria village.
Once we reached Mandria we took the road to Agios Nikolaos village. The route was fantastic and full of valleys spreading through the mountains!
Nature in spring was at its best! One of our many stops was to observe an old bridge now covered with plantation. Made out of stones, it was probably used many decades or centuries ago by travellers going to Pafos on horses or donkeys.
Even more strangely it seemed that water must have been passing though a long time ago. I remember my grandmother telling me she had travelled from Agros village to Pafos in the 50's to assist in the big earthquake that took place back then. Probably she took the same road as we did, using though the stone bridge!
